Absolutely lovely staff and insanely delicious food. We got the tacos, ribs and enchiladas as our mains well as arepas, plantains, and empanadas for starters and every bite was amazing. The ribs in particular had a delightful warmth and intense spice without being overwhelming. We tried every dessert and cannot recommend them enough! The house made juices are fantastic as was the margarita. We will be back soon!
I was recommended this resteraunt by a local working at a nearby hotel. And what can I say other than Wow. The co-owners run the place, cook the food, and serve it. Greeting every customer with a smile. They are quick to take orders and prepare what can only be described as the most delicious meals. While my son and I were there, they were very quick to serve us and get us more refreshing drinks, check in on us, and always with a smile. Their polite, joyous, and welcoming demeanor is a genuine and true sign of the love of their resteraunt, the meals they craft, and the joy of serving food to their community. It was an absolute delight meeting the owners, eating their perfeftly crafted dishes, and we will return for more delicious foods from the menu soon!
My son and I went and loved it. The tortilla chips are made in house and were so fresh they were still warm. The Mexican ribs were spicy but good and the alambres steak was Smokey and delicious. My son said he wished we had eaten there sooner so we could go back
Absolutely some of the most delicious food I had in my life! I had the Mexican street tacos, which was not a big portion, but the flavour was immense. I travel a lot and this place is outstanding, I will be back bringing 10 friends! I only wished I had eaten here before so many times! Gluten-free by default and lots of dairy-free options. I even had room for delicious gluten-free dairy-free fried plantain for dessert with agave syrup subbed for the chocolate and whip. Yummy!! No wonder they won so many awards!
One of the best restaurants in town! Full of flavour. Authentic dishes. Javier is so personable and greets you as you come in the restaurant and helps with serving the customers to make sure you are taken care of. Occasionally they have live music for special occasions. Lovely decor. Highly recommend!!
Wonderful experience at Javier’s, with authentic food and a cozy atmosphere. Friendly service and great prices. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s absolutely worth stopping! It would be nice if they had more food options for kids, even just smaller portions of the items on their menu, but this is not a deterrent. We will be back!
What a charming delightful Latin restaurant. The service, decor, food, ambiance exceeded my expectations. I had Aramintas Chicken …it had me at Javier’s mom’s recipe!!! and WOW! Just wow! Accompanied with a margarita followed by an insanely delicious dessert ! Wish we could have met the talented Javier but it was super busy so he’s forgiven this time.
A hidden gem of Latin American cuisine. I loved the Colombian chicken and rice as well as the dessert. Excellent service, and Chef Javier is a wonderful person. I hope they continue to grow and see you in Vancouver!
